History of the prize
Sally Tagney was a level 1 pharmacy student who tragically passed away in 2007 whilst studying pharmacy at JCU. Although she was only at JCU for a short time, she had an impact on many of her classmates and staff both in the Pharmacy program and at John Flynn College.
In memory of Sally, her family have generously donated an annual award for a level 2 student, who demonstrated many of the qualities possessed by Sally including a love and enjoyment of pharmacy and an interest in rural health services.
