2026 Chancellor’s Distinguished Award
Chief Executive Officer | Health and Wellbeing Queensland
(Master of Business Administration [Global], 2013)
Dr Robyn Littlewood is an influential leader in public health, whose career spans 30 years across clinical practice, research, and executive leadership. As the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Health and Wellbeing Queensland, she has played a defining role in shaping the state’s approach to prevention, establishing the agency as a leader in evidence-based policy, systems thinking and population health improvement.
Since 2019, Robyn has led the growth of Health and Wellbeing Queensland from a small foundational team into a high-impact, multidisciplinary organisation delivering statewide initiatives that improve health outcomes for Queenslanders. Under her leadership, the agency has embedded rigorous research, monitoring and evaluation into prevention programs at scale, leveraging more than $46 million in additional funding through research partnerships to ensure measurable and sustained impact.
Robyn believes everyone has the right to good health, with a focus on those who need it the most. Her leadership and commitment to the Gather + Grow Food Security initiative have brought together government, community and sector partners to improve access to healthy, affordable food across some of Queensland’s most remote regions, demonstrating the power of co-designed, system-wide approaches to complex health challenges.
A respected researcher and educator, Robyn has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, authored chapters and her own book, supervised the next generation of health professionals through academic and clinical mentorship and in the area of health wellbeing. Her national and international leadership roles, including Chair, Health Council, Queensland Futures Institute and Chair, International Networks of Health Promotion Foundations, reflect her influence across the health sector, globally.
Her leadership continues to shape how prevention is understood by driving a digital, impact, economic and productivity agenda to ensure health improvement outcomes for communities across Queensland and beyond.
