Call for papers

Abstract submission is now closed.


Proposals are invited from anyone working in, or adjacent to, the ALL space. This may include learning advisors, learning designers, enabling educators, academic English teachers, academics, or students.

Proposals are invited for any of these formats.

Workshop (55 mins)

Deliver an interactive workshop that allows participants to explore ideas and innovations in practice.

Presentation (25 mins)

Share research, innovation, or effective practice in a 20-minute presentation, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.

World café (55 mins)

Lead and facilitate multiple small group discussions around set questions on thorny, topical issues in our sector. Learn more here.

Panel (55 mins)

Organise and facilitate a 40-minute panel exploring the conference themes followed by 15 minutes of Q & A.

Roundtable (55 mins)

Facilitate a collaborative session where participants with a common interest share experiences and insights on a specific challenge or theme.

The Conference Committee will be looking for proposals that:

  • enable conversations around the conference theme: Connect, Collaborate, Create
  • are relevant, engaging and interactive
  • are underpinned by sound research, theory, pedagogy, or methodology (as appropriate)
  • have clear, specific take-home benefits or practical applications for delegates.
