RAINFOREST PLANT IDENTIFICATION workshops 2023
Cairns and Atherton Tablelands, 2023
The Australian Tropical Herbarium and the Wet Tropics Management Authority are pleased to present our annual Rainforest Plant Identification Workshops.
The rainforests of the Wet Tropics region are beautiful and incredibly diverse. But that very diversity can pose difficulties – how can we understand and manage these forests if we don’t know the species we’re looking at. Our workshops aims to teach participants the skills and knowledge needed to identify the rainforest flora using free online plant identification tools and hands-on experience.
- The workshop is targeted at the interested layperson, and will be of interest to
- rangers
- school science teachers
- state and local government land managers
anyone with an interest in the region’s incredible biodiversity
Details of the courses are as follows
