The Academic Administration and Enrolment (AAE) team provide JCU international students, including Australian Award Scholarship students, with 1:1 support regarding their academic administrative requirements, and studying with JCU. These include but are not limited to;

• International Student Orientation upon commencement, focusing on international student needs
• Assistance in emergencies
• CoE and Student Visa Compliance activities
• Australian Award Scholarship management

Study Queensland
Study Queensland is dedicated to the promotion of Queensland as a destination for International Student. Study Queensland connects with JCU as a partner in education, training, research and innovation, and has regional hubs in Cairns & Townsville. Study Queensland connects students with local community support services including;

• International Community & social events
• Referrals for local services such as health & wellbeing, legal, and health & wellbeing services
• Queensland Student Hub - linking international students to case workers, to guide them through mental health, visa, crisis accommodation and other essential needs.

Student Support in the Community

• Cairns Student Hub offers a range of support services for students living in Queensland including workshops, events, and access to student support officers
• 1800QStudy International Student Support Hotline for legal, accommodation, health and wellbeing, complaint referral, translation service or after hours support.
• Sonder: student Safety App|Allianz provides students with 24/7 confidential support for safety, medical and mental health needs via chat, on the phone or in person
• Safety in Australia provides critical advise on remaining safe at the beach, bush or outback, and within the community
