The Sport & Exercise Science (SES) movement analysis laboratory operates within the College of Healthcare Sciences located on the JCU Townsville, Bebegu Yumba campus. It is a centre dedicated to the understanding of biomechanics and neuromuscular control processes that underline human movement.
Our laboratory is equipped with:
8 MX3 VICON camera system
3D VICON Motus software
3 high speed Basler cameras
4 AMTI force plates (2 x 900-900 mm & 2 x 400-600 mm)
16 Channel EMG
2 m RsScan pressure plate
Laboratory service
The SES laboratory service offers an advanced biomechanical consultation on sports and orthopaedic equipment and other biomechanical related applications and forensic biomechanics (expert witness).
