Honours in Psychology
Entry to Honours under the 4 year Bachelor of Psychology requires students to have achieved a Distinction average across at least five (5) level 3 psychology subjects, which must include PY3101 (Advanced Behavioural Research Design and Analysis), and a Credit average across the two level 2 statistics/design subjects (PY2103 and PY2107). For those still in the 3 year Bachelor of Psychology, a Distinction average is required across the 5 core level 3 psychology subjects.
Applicants are required to submit an Application to Study at JCU form by 31 October.
Current Year 4 JCU Bachelor of Psychology students should submit an Expression of Interest for In-Course Psychology Honours to the Honours Coordinator by 31 October.
The Head of Psychology and Honours Coordinator meet in December to select students who will be offered a place in the Honours program based on merit as demonstrated in academic achievement.
