Intent

The intent of this overview is to set out the requirements regarding the establishment and maintenance of a revenue management system.

Function and Responsibility

It is the responsibility of the Chief Financial Officer to establish and maintain a revenue management system (FMPM 610-699) which efficiently, effectively and economically manages all revenue.

The revenue management system, including adequate internal controls, must provide for:

  • promptly identifying, collecting, managing and recording information about revenue; and

  • the timely write off of revenue.
