Masters level qualification.

In the case of Medical staff – they would hold a MBBS or equivalent.

Undergraduate Teaching.

Participation in research.

Participation in University activities and committees.

Participation in committees/professional bodies.

Conjoint Lecturer

Masters level qualification.

In the case of Medical staff – they would hold a MBBS or equivalent and specialist qualifications.

Undergraduate Teaching and assessment of students.

Conduct research evidenced by Peer Review publications.

Significant participation in University activities and committees.

Act as committee/professional body chair or secretary.

Conjoint Senior Lecturer

PhD qualifications.

In the case of Medical staff – they would hold a MBBS or equivalent and specialist qualifications. PhD, MD or equivalent research experience desirable.

Undergraduate teaching, assessment of students, course development and subject and course coordination.

Significant record of independent research evidenced by peer reviewed publications and success in attracting research funding.

Significant participation in University activities and committees.

Reviewing and editing scholarly journals book and on-line fora.

Major contribution as a committee/professional body chair or secretary.

Conjoint Associate Professor

PhD qualifications.

In the case of Medical staff – they would hold a MBBS or equivalent and specialist qualifications. PhD, MD or equivalent research experience essential and/or high level of development of education methods.

Undergraduate and Post Graduate teaching, assessment of students, significant contribution to course design, development and implementation and subject and course coordination.

Excellent record of achievement in independent research evidenced by peer reviewed publications and success in attracting research funding. Leadership of research team. Supervision of higher degree students.

Significant participation in University activities. Leadership of major committees and working groups and/or coordination of academic programs.

Reviewing and editing scholarly journals book and on-line fora.

Major contribution in multiple committees/professional bodies/government bodies as chair or secretary.

Conjoint Professor

PhD qualifications.

Undergraduate and Post Graduate teaching, assessment of students, significant contribution to course design, development and implementation  and subject and course coordination.

A distinguished record of achievement in independent research evidenced by peer reviewed publications and success in attracting research funding. Leadership of a large research team. Supervision of higher degree students.

Significant participation in University activities. Significant leadership of major committees and working groups and/or coordination of academic programs.

Reviewing and editing scholarly journals book and on-line fora.

Recognition of major service by award, citation or other acknowledgement with active contribution to multiple committees/professional bodies/government bodies as chair or secretary.
