Bringing University Conversations into Schools
JCU delivers tailored in-school programs for Years 5–12 across urban, regional and remote Queensland.
Our programs help students see university as achievable, relevant and within reach — building awareness early and supporting informed decisions through the senior years.
Programs are designed to:
- Introduce higher education early and positively
- Build confidence and aspiration
- Support subject and pathway decisions
- Reduce structural barriers to participation
Outreach Programs (Years 5–12)
Our outreach is delivered across transitional learning phases from upper primary through senior secondary, supporting learner identity, confidence and capacity over time.
Programs are tailored to school context and cohort needs.

Studiosity Workshops
Audience: Secondary students (Years 7 - Year 12)
Format: One-hour in-school workshop
Studiosity workshops introduce students to free 24/7 online academic support designed to strengthen confidence and learning outcomes.
Students gain access to:
- Peer mentoring (Student Connect)
- Real-time subject support (Connect Live)
- Writing feedback tools
Workshops demonstrate how to use the platform effectively and build independent study skills.

Pathways & Tertiary Access Presentations
Audience: Years 11/12
Format: Tailored in-school presentation
These sessions support students as they prepare for post-school transitions, providing clear, practical guidance on navigating higher education pathways.
Presentations may cover:
- Introduction to university pathways
- Scholarship and financial support options
- QTAC application processes
- Regional and community-specific considerations
These presentations are pathway-focused and distinct from institutional recruitment activities.
