QTAC Vouchers

At James Cook University (JCU), we believe education should be accessible by everyone and recognise the financial burden some families face when applying for a university course through Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). If you live in Central, North or Far North Queensland we invite you to apply for a QTAC voucher to cover the cost of your QTAC application fee.

Eligibility for applying

  • Must be intending to study an Undergraduate Course in 2027
  • Must live in a regional or remote area of Central, North or Far North Queensland or the Northern Territory
  • Vouchers are valid to make an application through QTAC only
  • Vouchers are valid from 4 August 2026 – 30 June 2027
  • Vouchers will cover the full on-time QTAC Application fee cost

We strongly encourage First Nations applicants and those from rural, regional or remote areas to apply for a voucher. Please note that voucher codes may take up to 48 hours to be issued. We appreciate your patience during this processing period.
