Residential Program Registration

Residential program registration (if applicable) Schools are invited to travel to JCU Townsville Campus on either Sunday 22 November, Monday 23 November or Tuesday 24 November to participate in the Local Program for the following day. Residential accommodation placements are limited. We urge schools to register residential placements as early as possible. Student Registrations close for the Residential Program, Friday 30 October 2026.

Give your students a firsthand experience of University at either JCU Cairns or Townsville. Bring your students to check out our JCU campus and experience a taste of university life. You can request a school group visit for up to 150 students from Years 5 to 12. We'll review your request and get back to you to finalise your booking. All activities are subject to availability.

Navigate YOU Summit

Over five days, students live on the JCU campus and take part in academic lectures and experiential learning sessions, personal development and team-building activities. The interactive program provides opportunities to meet JCU students and university staff and encourages students to build connections with their peers. This program is fully funded with JCU providing all travel, accommodation, resources and meals for students.

Students applying for this program are required to complete the below online application, including supporting documentations:

  1. Copy of their end of year school report for 2025.
  2. Signed Parent/Guardian Consent Authority.
  3. A student profile photo (headshot from shoulders up) to be used to develop and print Student ID cards. Note: profile photo must be in either pdf, gif or jpeg format.

Please download the Information Guide for Students and Parents, to assist with your application. Hard copy applications can be downloaded and emailed to outreach@jcu.edu.au. Applications need to be submitted by closing date Friday 29 May 2026.
