Heather Robson and Wayne Morris participated in and successfully completed round 4 of CSIRO’s ON Accelerate program.

ON Accelerate is a structured, full-time sci-tech accelerator program that brings together the experience and expertise of established researchers, entrepreneurs and inspiring mentors. During the program, the CSIRO team, coaches and industry mentors worked with Heather, Wayne and JCU to accelerate the approach to market for our technology by focusing on the business model, finding funding for runway and getting out there to tell the story. CSIRO ON runs two programs; ON Prime, an entry level, part-time pre-accelerator that helps research teams validate their research and discover a real world application for it and On Accelerate, providing the framework and coaching to help develop and test best market fit for platforms/products, position IP in a value chain through practical engagement and design business models that lead to long-term sustainable impact. CSIRO ON is open to all JCU academics and staff through a competitive application process, it’s an incredibly valuable experience and highly recommended.
