If the JCU course English requirement is Band P or Band 1, and you have not yet achieved this, you will be provided with a ‘packaged offer’ which includes an offer to complete this bridging course, along with a conditional offer for the undergraduate or postgraduate degree you applied for at JCU.

This bridging course is designed to help you improve your English language proficiency and prepare for the IELTS test, when required. The program focuses on academic English and prepares students for all components of the exam.

For those students able to transfer directly to JCU, this course can help you develop the necessary skills and abilities to successfully complete your university education.

The JCU English Pathway bridging course is not suitable for courses with English language requirements listed under Bands 2, 3a, 3b and 3c of the JCU Admissions Policy Schedule II.

Following successful completion of this course, you will either be able to transfer directly to your chosen degree (up to IELTS 6.0) or undertake a PTE exam to allow transfer into degrees with higher English language skill requirements.
