The Centre for Disaster Studies has developed a number of useful resources for use before, during, and after disaster events.
The kit has been comprehensively designed for facilitators to deliver information on psychological preparedness for natural disaster warnings and natural disasters. Included are facilitator’s instructions, a PowerPoint presentation, and various handouts to assist the content delivery. To download the full kit for your use and for training courses open each of the following ten files:
- Awareness Endurance Recovery Overheads (MS PowerPoint Slide show)
- Awareness Endurance Recovery Trainers Manual (File copy of Trainer’s manual in Acrobat PDF format)
- Trainers Manual (Cover Page) (For reproduction of the cover page of the manual if desired)
- Handouts (All handouts are together in order of presentation)
- Participants Manual First Print Side (Pages have been collated for printing of Participant’s Preparedness Guide)
- Participants Manual Reverse Print Side (Whether printing or photocopying you should use both sides of the paper - See printing instructions below)
- Binder Cover (Cover page for transferring to special binders)
