The College of Business, Law and Governance is proud to collaborate with a number of organisations and initiatives across the Cairns and Townsville regions. These mutually beneficial partnerships thrive on innovation and drive success. Together we support a passion for learning, the local community, and the Tropics. Below is a snapshot of some of the programs and organisations the College is a part of.
We also host a number of events each year for our students and the wider community.
Townsville Regional Scorecard Report
The College of Business, Law & Governance has collaborated with Insideout Architects, Healthy Waters Partnership Dry Tropics, PVW Partners, Townsville Lot Owners and Adjunct Professor Colin Dwyer to develop the 2024-2025 Townsville Regional Scorecard Report. The report explores 15 important social, economic, and environmental indicators, provides information on comparative performance and discusses some of the links between variables that influence local performance and wellbeing.
Over the past few years, these reports led to JCU Business rugby scholarships, secured $1m for local police, supported Fuel for Schools, and helped Queensland gain $9bn for Bruce Highway upgrades.
We hope you enjoy reading this report, which shows how data and collaborative efforts can drive meaningful change in our community.
