HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

First Aid

There are two compulsory requirements for engineering students to complete before they can graduate:

  • Vacation Employment (Vac Prac) consisting of 12 weeks working on an engineering project that is within your engineering discipline.

  • First Aid Certificate. Graduating engineering students must hold a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate (previously called HLTAID003 Provide First Aid), or equivalent.

Please note that the certificates are current for three years but the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) component of the certificate is only current for one year. One day refresher classes for the CPR component of the course are also available.

Please also note that the ORIGINAL first aid certificate must be submitted to the College Office for recording purposes - photocopies or faxed copies are not accepted.

For graduating students – Any outstanding documents MUST BE SUBMITTED by the end of your final year in order to send the information to the examination department who do the graduation processing. Late documents will cause you to not graduate.
