Course for All Staff
This face-to-face course at JCU Cairns, Nguma-bada campus allows people who have previously completed the Mental Health First Aid - 2 Day Course, to refresh their knowledge and skills. This training is open to both JCU Staff and Students.
- Gaining an understanding of the latest research in the mental health field
- Learning the 3 key actions for helping someone feeling suicidal
- Working through complex mental health first aid interactions
- Practicing mental health first aid skills.
For people who are Accredited MHFAiders, the refresher course offers an opportunity to extend their accreditation for a further 3 years.
Please note that there is a small subsidised cost of $70 to attend this course.
