To access the modules (housed in LearnJCU), you can find detailed information and registration links for 'Being an Educator' and 'The JCU Student Experience' on the Staff Learning Hub. Meanwhile, 'Academic Integrity' automatically appears as training in the Staff Learning Hub.

JCU expects educators to continuously refine their expertise in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment methodologies, diverse modes of delivery, and understanding student needs.

In pursuit of this goal, the Centre of Education and Enhancement hosts a variety of informative workshops and symposiums throughout the year, complemented by our Foundations of Teaching for University Educators (FoT4UE) suite of online modules.

**Upcoming** Foundations of Teaching for University Educators (FoT4UE)

Aimed to enhance your capabilities in:

  • Creating inclusive, technologically advanced, and engaging multimodal learning experiences that prioritise safety and responsiveness, drawing from scholarly research and aligning with relevant legal standards.

  • Engaging in critical self-reflection to refine personal, interpersonal, professional, and organisational practices within inclusive tertiary educational settings.

  • Designing assessment strategies that are constructively aligned, valid, reliable, equitable, transparent, authentic, feedback-focused, and promote assessment security and academic integrity.

  • Evaluating curriculum design, teaching and assessment practices to foster student-centred learning for diverse learner cohorts.

Covering topics, such as:

  • Learner-centered teaching and learning
  • Harnessing technology for enhanced learning
  • Designing the learning journey
  • Understanding policy and governance
  • Enhancing educator capabilities
  • Evaluating the learning experience and student progress

Once the modules are released (2025), staff will be notified via Info_BYTE.  You will find information about each of the FoT4UE modules in the Staff Learning Hub.
