In addition to the annual literary prize, public lectures and book club, the Foundation for Australian Literary Studies also supports and oversees the following:
The Foundation for Australian Literary Studies has produced and supported a number of publications over its 50 year history. Check out all our publications.
The Foundation for Australian Literary Studies is dedicated to promoting Australian writing in all its forms, from professional writers to emerging young voices. The FALS Narrative Writing Competition for Senior Students invites senior high school students from across Northern Queensland to submit their short stories. Find out more.
The PF Rowland Memorial Fund, overseen by the Foundation for Australian Literary Studies, provides support for initiatives that celebrate and advance Australian literature while fostering the growth and development of emerging writers. Each year, the Foundation selects a specific activity that aligns with these goals to ensure the Fund's impact is both meaningful and enduring. Find out what projects have been supported.
