JCU’s place in the Tropics is a vast geographic area encompassing regional, rural and remote communities. Many of our students travel long distances in order to access tertiary education at JCU.
The JCU On-Campus Accommodation Fund has been established to assist those students from must move away from family, friends and community.
Students who live on campus perform better in their studies than students that don’t. On-campus accommodation provides an easy transition from the family environment to independence with a built in community, access to support networks and an opportunity to bond with other motivated students.
Your support can help ease the transition for students moving to JCU for their studies and is an investment in their future success.
This Fund allows you to give back and help students complete their studies successfully. The fund supports students who move to either the Bebgu Yumba (Townsville) or Nguma-bada (Cairns) and would not otherwise have the means to live on-campus.
