History of the prize
This prize was founded in 2007 by McKays Solicitors and is maintained with donations from them. The prize is awarded to a full-time student from the Mackay region, enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws, who has gained the highest pass in the subject Legal Concepts and who enrols in the following year for law degree studies at James Cook University.
