History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1993 by an endowment from colleagues and friends of the late Emeritus Professor B.J. Dalton to commemorate his efforts in establishing Politics as a discipline at James Cook University. The prize is awarded to the College of Arts, Society and Education student who obtains the highest overall result in the Politics subject PL1001 The Political World : An Introduction to Political Science
