Nigel is currently Managing Partner of GNG Partners, a growth strategy consulting firm based in Sydney. Nigel Co-founded the firm in 2020 after selling MessageMedia to Private Equity. GNG is a boutique advisory firm that specialises in practical growth strategy and operates in Australia and New Zealand. One of his key roles is as an Operating Partner for OneVentures, a venture capital firm specialising in technology growth companies but the firm has a broad base of clients across telecommunications, energy, retail, entertainment, agriculture and food.

He was formally a Director of Port Jackson Partners, a leading boutique Australian strategy consulting firm.  Nigel served clients in property, financial and business services, telecommunications, electricity, technology  and agri-business in Australia, NZ and the UK.

Until July 2013, he was the Senior Advisor, Telecommunications for Hong Kong based Hutchison Whampoa, and prior to that, Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Hutchison Australia, after being Chief Executive of Australia’s first 3G telecommunications operator, 3 Mobile. Prior roles included manager with global management consultants McKinsey  & Company in Sydney, New York and London and a graduate Research Economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Nigel was a student at James Cook University between 1981 and 1984, gaining a Bachelor of Economics with Honours Class 1 and a University Medal. He also has a Masters of Business Administration (with Distinction) from London Business School (1990).
