Mike Webley graduated from James Cook University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing & Communication Design. Mike’s career in tourism started at Townsville Enterprise in roles focused on promoting the tourism products of the region, hosting trade and media familiarisations and engaging with travel trade partners.

In 2015 he progressed to the role of Business Development Manager at Pinnacle Tourism Marketing in Cairns and in 2016 became the Branch Chair of the Young Australian Tourism Export Council North Queensland Committee (YATEC NQ). In 2018 Mike was appointed a Young Tourism Leader by the Queensland Government and in 2019 received the ATEC Len Taylor Award, which recognises outstanding leadership and community contribution in Australia's tourism export industry by an under 35 year old. In 2022, Mike was promoted to the role of General Manager at Pinnacle Tourism Marketing. Mike has a strong focus on networking with other young professionals in the tourism industry and contributing to regional tourism through his volunteer roles with professional associations.
