Princy Natolanda is a PhD student with the Queensland Research Centre for Peripheral Vascular Disease (QRCPVD), investigating the mechanisms underlying the obesity paradox in patients with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). Since joining the Centre in mid-2026, her research has focused on improving understanding of the factors influencing outcomes for people living with PAD.
Originally trained as a dentist, Princy brings a multidisciplinary background spanning clinical dentistry, public health research, health promotion, and healthcare operations. Princy holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Bangalore), a Master of Health Management, a Master of International Public Health from the University of New South Wales, and an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Research.
Prior to commencing her PhD, Princy worked with NSW Health across a range of healthcare operations, governance, health reporting, and public health programs. With clinical research training including clinical research methodology, pharmacovigilance, and medical writing, Princy also has experience in STATA, REDCap, Cerner PowerChart, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and evidence synthesis using Rev Man.
Princy’s diverse clinical and public health experience provides a strong foundation for translational research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with cardiovascular disease.
