Laboratory and Technical Support

The Laboratory and Technical Team provide technical expertise, advice and support for the delivery of teaching, learning and research activity throughout the Academy.

Provide specialist advice and assistance in the processes of -

Subject and Delivery:

• Support Academic staff in the delivery of course and subject in class and field practicals
• Laboratory safety practices and hazardous substance/materials management
• Animal husbandry
• Procurement of consumables
• Laboratory Asset management
• Bequest Coordination
• Laboratory inductions
• Training of staff and students in laboratory and technical practices

Field Trips & site support:

• Riskware field trip management, training, advice and support
• WHS advice and support
• International and domestic field trip support
• Permits Information - To undertake marine or terrestrial research.
• Ethics - To undertake research involving humans or vertebrate animals.
• Field Trips - The requirements and processes to help you prepare for a field trip.
• Field Equipment - Equipment available for use on field trips.
