Our Facilities

Facilities include the new state-of-the-art AITHM laboratories in Cairns,  Townsville, and Thursday Island Facility, The Science Place in Townsville, the JCU Cairns Aquarium, as well as other JCU laboratories.

Infrastructure includes a range of PC2 laboratories, PC3 laboratory, quarantine approved premises, custom-built wet-land filtered aquarium, insectories, animal facilities, biobank, clinical suites, and translational research laboratories.

These house a wide range of cutting-edge biomolecular equipment to move research from basic science through to translation, commercialisation and impact
