Market Day Cairns Semester Two

The Nguma-bada Campus at Smithfield came to life on Wednesday 26^th July as students gathered for the highly anticipated Market Day, signalling the commencement of the second semester for 2023.The campus was abuzz with activity as students engaged with various stalls and representatives from key organisations.

The College of Business, Law & governance were delighted at the opportunity to connect with representatives from local legal services such as the Cairns Community Legal Centre, NQ Women’s Legal Service, and Migration Plus. These organisations had set up stalls and actively engaged with students, fostering a positive environment for interaction and information exchange.

The presence of these organisations on Market Day is seen as a significant step in building lasting relationships between the university and these community-oriented services. The collaboration is expected to extend beyond the confines of the event, providing students with ongoing opportunities to connect with and benefit from the expertise of these vital organisations throughout the academic year and into the future.
