Cairns Mental Health First Aid - Conversations about Suicide

Course for All Staff

This face-to-face course is for any JCU staff member and JCU student who is interested in learning skills in providing mental health first aid to someone who is feeling suicidal.

This course will teach you how to identify, approach and support someone who is experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviors using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

You will also have the opportunity to practice your new skills in a safe environment.

Please note that there is a small, subsidised cost of $70 to attend this course.

This course requires a minimum of 8 participants to go ahead.
