JCU Student Hardship Fund
We have all faced adversity at some point in our lives and know the value of someone’s generosity making a difference. This Fund allows you to give back and help students complete their studies successfully.
JCU Indigenous Student Support Fund
Your contribution helps JCU to provide grants, academic scholarships and many more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
JCU Graduate Research Education
JCU’s Graduate Research School supports students pursuing a higher degree by research. Discover how you can assist our research students to make new discoveries.
JCU Orpheus Island Research Station
Orpheus Island Research Station provides a living laboratory for our students and researchers located on the Great Barrier Reef. Your donation can support field work and study experiences in this inspirational learning environment.
JCU Fletcherview Research Station
Fletcherview Research Station is JCU's fully operational outback cattle station. Your donation to Fletcherview creates real-world educational experiences for our students and researchers.
JCU Daintree Rainforest Observatory
JCU's Daintree Rainforest Observatory (DRO) is our classroom in the rainforest. Your support helps our students and researchers with hands-on experiences that make positive change for our region, for Australia and for the World.
Types of Donations
JCU accepts cash, shares, debentures and bonds; fully paid insurance policies where the University is named as the beneficiary; and in some cases realty (including improved and unimproved real estate), personal property such as art, antiques, jewellery, coins and other items of value.

You can choose to give:
- Regularly via direct debit;
- On one or more occasions each year;
- As one-off gifts;
- As a bequest in your will.
JCU accepts donations:
- Online through our secure payment portal for specific causes;
- By Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - contact us for details;
- By cheque - Made out to James Cook University - see mailing address;
- In cash at our Cashiers office on the Townsville, Bebegu Yumba and Cairns, Nguma-bada campuses;
- From America via the JCU in America Foundation, an IRS registered 501c3 organisation.
