Adrian Shatte

Dr Adrian Shatte is a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University's Department of Information Technology. His program of research includes harnessing social media and m-health to predict, monitor and intelligently intervene in a range of mental health contexts, user experience of personalised, app-based health interventions, and computer-supported collaborative work applied to higher education and distributed emergency management. Adrian completed his PhD at James Cook University, followed by a long stint in Victoria working academic and technical roles at Monash, Deakin and Federation Universities. His work has been funded by both Category 1 and industry partnerships, including MRFF Million Minds, Australian Government Innovations Connections, Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria, Gippsland Primary Health Network, and the City of Casey. In his spare time, Adrian enjoys walking in nature, learning and cooking new recipes, and caring for his dogs.
