Cameron Norsworthy

The psychological state of 'flow' is described as an intrinsically rewarding, harmonious psychological state of total focus and absorption that facilitates effort-less action. Research on flow is well established, but there remain criticisms in the literature regarding a variety of conceptual and applied issues.

Cameron’s studies involve a comprehensive scoping review to map flow-related scientific research across a range of disciplines, with a specific emphasis on examining conceptual consistencies and inconsistencies, specifically within working definitions, dimensions, antecedents, measurement instruments, and outcomes of flow. His work aims to not only add clarification around the conceptualisation of flow, but also create a scale that measures this conceptualization effectively, and to ascertain how best flow can be applied in practice.
