JCU offers a range of support services and resources for international students, including:

• International student mentor programs to help you settle into life in Australia
• Free and confidential wellbeing services and counselling and wellbeing staff
• International Student Orientation at the start of each semester, with important information for all new international students
• Assistance in emergencies via the Sonder 24/7 safety app
• Overseas Student Health Cover
• Careers and employment service
• Regular social events to help you develop friendships with other students, meet staff, and enhance your campus experience

Student Centre

The Student Centre is your number one point of contact. The Student Centre staff can help you with your enrolment and provide information about subjects, fees, support services, scholarships, exams and even directions!  If they can't answer your question, they will point you in the right direction.

Current International Students

The Academic Administration and Enrolment (AAE) team provide JCU international students, including Australian Award Scholarship students, with high-level support regarding their academic administrative requirements, and studying with JCU. These include;

• International Student Support
• Pre departure reach out and arrival services
• International Student Orientation upon commencement focusing on international student needs
• Assistance in emergencies from staff (critical incident management) and via the Sonder 24/7 safety app
• Social events to provide community connectivity and enhance the campus experience
• CoE and Student Visa Compliance activities
• Intervention plans for student with academic progression concerns
• Australian Award Scholarship management
