Sonder is a multilingual safety and wellbeing app that connects you with the Sonder Support Team 24/7, ensuring help is just a tap away, day or night.

If you hold an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy with Allianz Care Australia purchased after 1 February 2020, Sonder is already included.

For students whose OSHC does not include Sonder, great news—you can now register for free!

The Sonder Team is here to support you with concerns related to:

• You’re injured and unsure of the help you require.

• Download the app from your preferred app store or scan the QR code below
• Once downloaded, tap new user
• Enter your email:
  • If you hold Allianz Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) use the personal email associated with your Allianz account.
  • If you are a non Allianz OSHC holder use your JCU email address
• Follow the prompts to register
• Your FREE account will be activated

The Sonder Support Team

The Sonder team operates a 24/7 Australian-based support centre staffed with specialists trained in mental health first aid. They provide emotional support, advice, and practical help for a variety of situations. If necessary, in-person assistance can also be arranged to ensure your safety and wellbeing.

• 24/7 Assistance: Use live chat or phone support for any issue. In-person help is available if required.
• Check on Me: Activate this feature if you’re meeting someone new or visiting an unfamiliar place so we can ensure your safety.
