JCU values the exchange of knowledge, ideas and resources. Our International Team partners with authorised representatives (also known as agents) to support international students in their applications.
JCU prioritises partnerships with agents who share our vision of delivering quality services, experiences and education to students.
Requirements for JCU Agents
Under government legislation, JCU must take all reasonable measures to partner with education agents who have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Australian international education industry and who are honest and maintain integrity when conducting their services.
Agents can apply to become an official representative, or JCU may approach them directly.
JCU enters into partnerships with agents who will promote JCU ethically and professionally, and have the skills and knowledge to market international education, and specifically JCU courses.
We highly value agents who:
- Have an established reputation as reliable, professional and ethical
- Are qualified counsellors with a sound knowledge of the Australian education system and national legislation
- Employ a proactive and honest approach and focus on providing effective and tailored advice to students.
- Support to enhance your skills and knowledge of JCU and the National Code
- Professional development opportunities for authorised representatives who are nominated by JCU staff for exceptional performance
- Partnership with a quality research university with a unique objective of empowering graduates to make a difference.

- Promoting JCU courses with integrity and accuracy and recruiting students in a sincere, ethical and responsible manner
- Ensuring that the student is a Genuine Temporary Entrant with a genuine intention to stay in Australia temporarily for the purpose of studying
