Our People

The expertise of our researchers covers a broad range of disciplines, which include biological, social, economic and governance aspects of fisheries and aquaculture production.

The Centre comprises academic staff from across JCU's Colleges of:

Our staff produce approximately $10 million in external grants, contracts and consultancies each year, and publish in excess of 140 peer-reviewed books, book chapters and papers. They collaborate with colleagues around the world to help produce innovative solutions and understanding of marine food production systems in both aquaculture and wild capture fisheries. Our team also includes a number of technical research staff and postgraduate students.
