JCU Mount Isa is home to the Centre for Rural and Remote Health. The campus offers the Bachelor of Nursing Science on-site, with additional placement opportunities for students across medicine, dentistry, and allied health. The study centre was established in 1997 as a centre for population health, but today it equips JCU students to make a real impact across remote and Indigenous health issues. The study centre features lecture rooms, research facilities, a computer lab, a procedural skills lab and a health service library.
