Applications for domestic students in JCU’s 2025 intake for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science have closed.

Study locations
- Medicine is offered in Cairns and Townsville. You can apply for a place to start in one location or either, in order of preference.
- Dentistry is offered in Cairns only.
- Veterinary Science is offered in Townsville only.
All three courses are delivered on campus with some online learning.

Medicine applications
Update regarding applications due 30 Sept 2024 for the JCU intake in 2025:
- Applicants for Medicine are not required to submit written statements and letters of support.
- This is a change from previous years when applicants were asked to provide both of these.
- Applicants may still be invited to meet and discuss their career motivations with a selection panel at interview.

Veterinary Science applications
- Face-to-face teaching starts in Townsville on 27 January 2025, which is one week after the deadline for accepting offers.
- Students must be vaccinated against Q Fever by Week 4 for practical studies involving animals.
International Baccalaureate (IB) results
- JCU expects to receive IB results during December 2024.
- This is in time for consideration in JCU’s 2025 intake for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science and the second round of interviews for Medicine.
New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) results
- JCU expects to receive New Zealand’s NCEA results during January 2025.
- This is too late for consideration in JCU’s 2025 intake for Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science.
