Business Seminar Series - Wealth management
Monday 25th November, 3.00pm - 4.00pm In a world where sudden wealth can change lives overnight, how can you effectively support clients navigating this complex transition? What strategies can you employ to help them manage their newfound wealth wisely?
Join Ben Cole, Financial Adviser at Fowler’s Group, as he explores the intricacies of sudden wealth syndrome. Drawing on his expertise, Ben will share essential insights for aspiring financial advisers to one day guide clients through this journey. In this session, you'll learn how to help clients pause and reflect on their windfall, prioritise debt repayment, and establish a solid financial foundation with an emergency fund.
Ben will also cover the emotional challenges that often accompany sudden wealth, from anxiety about losing it to the pressure of fulfilling others’ expectations. Attendees will gain practical strategies for fostering open communication and setting healthy boundaries. Importantly, this seminar is packed with insights to empower you in supporting clients to achieve lasting financial security and peace of mind. Ben Cole has quickly solidified his role in the Cairns business community as a trusted and passionate voice for financial empowerment as a financial adviser with Fowler's Group, as a casual lecturer for James Cook University, and as a guest speaker at schools and various panel events throughout the region. A proud alumnus of James Cook University (JCU), Ben holds a Bachelor of Business with a major in accounting with post-graduate studies in finance. His robust foundation in finance was further solidified through his experience as a tax accountant for one of the world’s largest professional services firms. These days, Ben aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his clients by crafting tailored financial strategies and offering peace of mind when it comes to someone’s money journey. His leadership skills were honed during his tenure as the Chair of the Cairns Young Chamber, an organisation dedicated to helping young leaders connect and build their careers across Far North Queensland. Outside of the boardroom, Ben is a host of ‘The Betterment Project’ podcast, where he shares insights on navigating life through personal growth, and lets his creative side flourish as a singer and guitarist playing gigs throughout Cairns.
