Rebekha Sharkie MP represents the regional electorate of Mayo in South Australia. Elected in 2016, she is the first woman to represent her region since Federation and the longest-serving female cross-bench member in the House of Representatives. Rebekha prioritises her community as their independent voice and advocates for crucial issues like aged care reform, climate action, regional housing, employment, and integrity in politics. She serves on multiple parliamentary committees and has been appointed to the Speaker's Panel, a remarkable achievement as the first female cross-bench member to receive this honour. Rebekha resides in the Adelaide Hills with her husband and Great Dane, Lulu.
