Do you have a start-up or business idea with strong market potential, and are you committed to building a scalable and impactful venture?
If you’re passionate about solving real-world problems and bringing your vision to life, and want to access to top-tier experts, mentors, and investors you might want to apply to our Impact 10X program.
Impact10X 2025 - when and where:
25 – 27 June 2025 at the Daintree Rainforest Observatory, James Cook University, and
10 – 12 September 2025 at the JCU Ideas Lab, Nguma-bada campus, Smithfield.
The Impact 10X program runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.
The program will also be offered online, ensuring accessibility for all participants. Whether attending on-site or remotely, you’ll engage in a hands-on, collaborative experience with expert mentors, investors, and like-minded entrepreneurs.
Who is the program for?
The JCU Impact 10X Digital Simulator is for JCU students, researchers, academics, professional staff, alumni, industry professionals and anyone in the broader community who has a great idea that could be turned into a startup.
Program Details:
- Refine your business model
- Develop an MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
- Present your prototype and receive professional feedback
- Learn how to pitch to investors
- Network with mentors and industry experts

Benefits:
- A cohort-based program, learn with others and from others.
- Selected participants of the program will have the opportunity to join the JCU Founder-in-Residence cohort.
- Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the program.
- Connect to the JCU Innovation Ecosystem and meet other founders, leaders and innovation supporters.
Start-ups with promising feasibility and growth potential may be invited to the Impact10X Venture Builder for continued mentorship, investment preparation, and access to further resources.

When you apply, you should be able to provide a short description of your business or startup idea, explain how this program fits into you career plans and how are planning to manage the Impact 10X with your existing commitments.
Complete the online application form on the Impact 10X Simulator website to secure your spot in the program.
