Adaptors

Due to the wide range of connectors on laptops and smartphones it is recommended the user checks the availability of cables in the room to be used.

To some extent, adapters (see image below) are provided in most room installs after 1/1/2017. VGA connections are being phased out.

We recommend users carry one or more of the following adapters as the adapters are not provided in the rooms:

apple minidisplay to vga

This adapter is required where the room only provides a VGA cable connection to the AV system.

Apple mini to hdmi

an Apple 30-pin to VGA adaptor is required to connect these devices to the AV system. apple to vga

A lightning to VGA adaptor is required to connect the device to the AV system.

An MHL VGA adaptor is required to connect the device to the AV system.

A mini HDMI to VGA adaptor is required to connect the device to the AV system. mini hdmi to vga adapter

A micro HDMI to VGA adaptor is required to connect such devices to the AV system

Some late model laptops are fitted with a displayport output - this adaptor can be used to connect it to a room with and HDMI cable
