Laptop running Windows 7 or later

Connect to projector or flat panel display

  1. Connect the laptop to the System using a VGA, HDMI or display port cable (you may need an adaptor). If you are connecting using an HDMI cable you may also need to change the audio output settings on the laptop as it may be set to play sound through the 3.5mm headphone jack.
  2. Set the laptop to duplicate its display by pressing the 'Windows-key' (between the ctrl and alt key) and the 'P-key' and select 'Duplicate' from the menu.
  3. Show the laptop on the projector screen or flat panel display by selecting PC or laptop on the media selector.
  4. Some rooms are subject to a maximum laptop resolution of 1024x768 pixels (XGA) and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Right click on the desktop and access the graphics properties section to make changes.

  3. Show the laptop on the projector screen or flat panel display by selecting PC or laptop on the media selector.
  4. Some rooms are subject to a maximum laptop resolution of 1024x768 pixels (XGA) and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Right click on the desktop and access the graphics properties section to make changes.
  5. Open your PowerPoint presentation and click on Slide Show. Ensure the Use Presenter View box is ticked in the PowerPoint Slide Show Monitor option before starting the slide show.
