Videoconference – Charges

In order to keep the costs down, we prefer connecting over IP. However, our infrastructure still accommodates the use of ISDN. Bear in mind ISDN call costs are dependant on bandwidth and distance hence, can become quite expensive. The surcharges are due to the line charges applied by the telecommunication carrier companies (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone etc.) whereas the call costs connected over IP are negligible.

• Costs and charges for internal JCU conferences - Internal charges will be abolished from 1/1/2020, hence a charge code is no longer required.
• Costs and charges for external users of JCU conference rooms - All costs for external parties using JCU videoconference rooms are usually charged to the person making the reservation.
