InPlace is the online software application used by JCU that enables staff to coordinate and manage Work Integrated Learning (WIL)/placement activities efficiently.

InPlace also provides a portal for students to easily access details about their WIL placement activity using a computer or mobile device. Information regarding how to use InPlace is provided to students through their relative College/s. There are also User Guides below.

InPlace features include:

  • full placement history records for active students
  • students can select their preferences online
  • users can view their own details in the system
  • users can be informed of placement details as well as be involved in the process
  • integration with Student System to provide overnight update of student and curriculum data
  • management of agency (placement host) information
