JCU Pharmacy Uniform

As a JCU Pharmacy placement student, you are expected to comply with the following uniform requirements:

Female students

Male students

Top

  • JCU Pharmacy Ben Casey (navy) or (level 3 and 4 only)
  • Blue shadow stripe shirt with JCU logo (available in ¾- sleeve or short sleeve).

Bottom

  • Tailored skirt in black/tan - corporate style/professional wear.
  • Skirt must extend to the knee.  OR
  • Tailored pants in black/tan.
  • Tailored pants can be purchased from alternative retailers.

Shoes

  • Black skirt/pants – Black leather enclosed shoes.

Tan skirt/pants Brown leather enclosed shoes.

Top

  • No sunglasses or caps are to be worn during active pharmacy placement hours.
  • The wearing of jewellery will be minimal, visible body piercing, including oral piercing, is not acceptable. However, one pair of studs/sleepers is permitted, whilst body art is to be reasonably covered by clothing.
  • No midriff or cleavage may be shown, and underwear must not be visible.
  • Some placements may require a particular code of dress, and it is the student's responsibility to contact the pharmacist before undertaking the Placement to determine the dress code required.

Students must wear appropriate clean, black, enclosed footwear to ensure they meet the occupational health and safety requirements. Joggers or alike are NOT permitted. All students must ensure they wear suitable protective clothing when required.
