HDR Scholarships for Domestic Candidates

Applications can be submitted at any time. 

When applying, applicants will be considered for all applications for which they are eligible.  Applications will be ranked as per the Scholarship Scoring Procedure.

How to Apply

New Domestic Candidates: Indicate that you would like be considered for a HDR scholarship in the candidature application. A separate application is not required. Apply here.

Citizenship: Australia, New Zealand, Australian Permanent Residency

Applications: Apply and commence any time

Inclusions: Living allowance stipend $33,500 pa in 2023, tuition fees.

Duration: 3.5 years for PhD, 2 years for MPhil

Exclusions: Relocation expenses, Student Services and Amenities Fee.

Citizenship: Australia, New Zealand, Australian Permanent Residency, must identify as Australian Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander

Applications: Apply and commence any time

Inclusions: Living allowance stipend $50,291 pa in 2024 + one off $10,000 for project expenses, tuition fees.

Duration: 3.5 years for PhD only

Exclusions: Relocation expenses, Student Services and Amenities Fee.

Citizenship: Australia, New Zealand, Australian Permanent Residency

Inclusions: Living allowance stipend $33,500pa in 2023 + $5,000pa as living allowance stipend or project expenses, tuition fees.

Duration: 3.5 years for PhD, 2 years for MPhil

Exclusions: Relocation expenses, Student Services and Amenities Fee.
