Applications for 2024 HDR scholarships for International Candidates are now CLOSED
HDR scholarships do not include overseas health cover or relocation expenses.
International applicants must pay health cover prior to applying for a student visa. Overseas health cover for a single person undertaking a PhD is a one off up front payment of $4,140 and if accompanied by your partner or family is $15,162 and $23,413 respectively (as at June 2023).
International applicants should also understand living costs and other expenses in Australia. The Prepare to Arrive website contains useful links to help estimate your cost of living in Australia, including the cost of care and schooling for children.
