A range of graduate career resources are provided here to explain alternatives; strategies and requirements, as well as information from the literature about the transition from study to employment and graduate employability.
These tips are for Candidates and their advisors to consider after reaching the three year full-time candidature equivalent point without having a thesis ready for examination.
There is a wide range of disciplines in which research theses are written so this information will not necessarily cover all of the specific descriptions.
Thesis Preparation, Submission and Examination information
The Research and Innovation Services Grants team can help your candidate secure grants for their research project.
This procedure outlines how to apply and obtain approval to make changes to HDR candidature. It applies to candidates for the HDR Programs offered by the University.
A section of the LibGuide is devoted to literature on the Early Career Researcher and their employability. What have we learnt? what do the statistics tell us? and What are Early Career Researchers saying?
HDR Completions Event
Completing HDR candidates and their advisors are invited to hear about support services available to completing students. We will introduce key support staff and share resources that may be useful in preparing your thesis for examination and in responding to examiner comments, and consider transitions to work. Meet other late stage candidates and share ideas on strategies for completion.
